As we open our section of Acts this week we see the ruling of the council being given to the church at Antioch. From there we will cover the controversy of Acts 15:34, and the great split between Barnabas and Paul.
Last week we looked at Paul and Barnabas’ stop in Pisidian Antioch and the results of that visit. Luke, the human author of Acts, moves next to summarize Paul and Barnabas’ trip through the next several cities, and only highlights a few points. These few points can serve as lessons for us today.
Last week we looked at some of the offices that were being setup in the early church as models for things we do today. This week we will be following Paul and Barnabas as they leave on their first missionary journey.
When we first started with this section of scripture we looked at Saul as an example of a conversion. Then last week we looked at the call of God on a person’s life using Ananias as an example. This week we will conclude our study on this section by looking at how all this impacts Saul.
