In that study we learned that even when we do not know how or what to pray, God searches our heart and finds the Holy Spirit who tells God all things on our behalf. He explained to us that no matter what we go through in this world (and he had suffered far greater then most) that it all pales to nothing compared to the goal. Last time we were in our text we looked at the Spirit of Adoption and some of what it means to be a Christian. We looked at how being adopted in to God’s family meant being hated by the world, and that very well could and normally does bring suffering to the believer. This week we will dive into Paul’s thoughts on the suffering of this life and what it means to him as a Christian. [...]

This week we are pausing in our study of Romans to look at the question of free will versus predestination. The book of Romans contains a lot of language that will have different meaning depending on your assumptions behind them, and one’s understanding of this debate forms these assumptions. This means it would be best to clear up the argument about man’s free will and God’s sovereign election now. [...]
