This week we will read about a clash between legalistic Judaism and the new gentile church and apply the lessons they learned to our modern day church life.

Last week we looked at Paul and Barnabas’ stop in Pisidian Antioch and the results of that visit. Luke, the human author of Acts, moves next to summarize Paul and Barnabas’ trip through the next several cities, and only highlights a few points. These few points can serve as lessons for us today.

Paul and Barnabas lead a great awakening and Satan runs his best counter play which is the pattern we still see today, and is essential that we understand.

This week we will look at Paul’s first sermon where he answers the great “why” question of history.
